3D Rooms & Spatial Audio Architecture
Understanding spatial presence and WebGL canvas engine
1. Spatial Audio Engine
RovaSpace utilizes an adaptive WebRTC spatial audio system. Volume and panning adjust dynamically based on your avatar's proximity and direction relative to other team members on the 3D canvas.
- Proximity Radius: Voice volume decays naturally as distance increases.
- Directional Panning: Teammates to your left sound in your left ear, creating natural physical awareness.
- Private Quiet Zones: Entering designated meeting booths or conference tables isolates audio to members inside that boundary.
2. 3D WebGL Canvas Rendering
The virtual office engine is built using optimized WebGL shaders. This allows smooth 60fps movement with minimal CPU and GPU overhead, ensuring laptop batteries remain cool during full-day collaboration.
3. Screen Sharing & Interactive Furniture
Each room supports multi-user screen sharing. Sitting at whiteboards, podiums, or presentation screens allows participants to broadcast media seamlessly across the room.
